A Priest Forever

7 This Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, is the one who met Abraham as he was returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,^{[a] 2} and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything.^[b] First, Melchizedek means “king of righteousness,” and then “king of Salem,” which is “king of peace.”
